This spring, I came home to a basement completely filled with water. Not knowing what to do, I immediately panicked and turned off my circuit breaker. In my panic, I managed to drop my cell phone into the flood, so I went to a neighbor’s house to borrow the phone. I called a St. Louis Water Damage Restoration company and had them at my house within the hour. They were very helpful, and even brought an insurance adjuster to look over my policy and make sure everything would be covered before they got to work. They put some type of water extraction pump into the basement through one of my windows, and got to work. Within three days, the basement was dry, but not even close to back to normal. They recommended another contractor that flood-proofed the basement, removed all of the drywall and rotten wood, and started rebuilding my house. After all was said and done, you’d have no idea it ever flooded.
